Well, fellow Canadians did you survive turkey week? Actually it was more like two weeks, what with planning the meal, talking about the meal, cooking the meal, serving the meal and cleaning up after the meal. And then comes leftovers! Don’t get me wrong I love turkey and all that surrounds Thanksgiving, but when it’s over its over!
To celebrate the “over” part, I opened up a bottle of a delicious Pinot Grigio and celebrated the last leftover meal!
This California white is fresh with hints of peach and citrus! According to the winemaker, it is a blend of warm and cool weather grapes from the Russian River Valley and the Lodi Delta.
I know I enjoyed the freshness after a couple of days of over-indulgence.
Tidbit: Did you know that “Pinot Grigio” is simply the Italian name for “Pinot Gris”? It is used so often that Pinot Gris has become less recognizable.
