The TBBs at IDS14…Post#4

Since we’ve returned from IDS 14 in Toronto, my fellow TBBs have taken you through their favourite booths and displays.  Many of them were my favourites as well,  chevron trendsStudio North, gorgeous lighting, and our amazing couple of days at the Business of Design conference.  So what is there left to talk about, you ask?  I asked myself that too … and here is the answer…

The VIBE!  There is a hum at this show – a low current of creativity, inspiration and celebration that you feel the moment you enter the doors.

Now I’ll admit, its not all work – there’s a little bit of fun involved.  Like the scavenger hunt organized by Kimberley Seldon Design Group on Gala night.  And the celebrity spotting – I was *THIS* close to Scott MacGillivray of HGTV`s Income Property and Canada’s Handyman Challenge, but couldn’t form any coherent words – I hate when that happens!  And the ever diligent wine spotting … I was honing my eagle eye for any and all serving locations (after all … I am first and foremost a TBB)!

All of this contributes to the VIBE!   Held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, this show brings together a great number of like-minded individuals. From the huge names in bath, tiles and paint, to the creative individuals in Studio North, you are inspired at every turn.  Here is what inspired me…

From Reed Hansuld – very comfy and stylish

From Living Lighting – a wall of teacup lights:

Wooden light pendants from a Studio North booth (which I unfortunately did not get the name of):

I am wowed by Weavers Art‘s carpets every year!  This year did not disappoint …

The young lady doing drip paintings at the Beauti-Tone booth was very inspiring!

And finally, one of the Caml-Tomlin Groups marvelous tubs!

Those teacup lights are so unexpected… Yet why didn’t I think of that before! I wouldn’t have thought living lighting would have thought of that either. Thanks for sharing!

Same here!!! The teacup light idea is fabulously creative! Love how they created an entire wall with them for optimal effect. Thx for sharing this blog with me. Looks like y’all have a great time. There’s nothing like a group of women gal pals. :-)

Looks like it was a great event! I loved that rug, sigh. Not sure about the tea cup lights though. Thanks for the tour around!
